Meet Our Expert Viking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructors

PETER OLSSON
MAIN INSTRUCTOR

Peter Olsson, main instructor at Viking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wearing a dark gi and black belt, standing confidently in a training facility.

Peter Olsson started the Viking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu early in 2016

Nobody understands the needs of the new (or advanced) BJJ student like Peter.

He is an obsessed BJJ Black Belt who regularly trains with 7th degree black and red belt Mauricio Gomes and 3rd degree black belt Nick Brooks.

Peter loves teaching classes at Viking-MK and when you join him in one of his classes you will understand why students love training with him.

He’s fun to be around but when it’s time for learning he sure pulls the class together.

When Peter Olsson is not learning or instructing BJJ he’s busy keeping an eye on two other businesses he owns. A health and wellness centre in Bedford and a coaching business for health and wellness centre owners worldwide on successful advertising and marketing strategies.

Peter is a devoted family man with a wife and four young children.

GARY
INSTRUCTOR

Instructor Gary in a blue rash guard, posing confidently with arms crossed in front of the Viking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy logo.

Gary started training Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2012 as a casual hobbyist in Sheffield, but, after gaining his blue belt in 2017 from GB Swindon, rather than contract bluebeltitis he began to take the martial art more seriously and since joining Viking BJJ in 2018 he has competed for the academy on three occasions.

Now a purple belt (since 2019) under Dr Peter Olsson, he is keen to compete more frequently and support the academy by teaching white and blue belts.

In particular, he is a kimura and armbar lover while always eager to dive into deep half or grab a lapel when the opportunity presents!

SEAN
INSTRUCTOR

Smiling male Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor wearing a USA-themed rash guard and medal, showcasing martial arts achievements against a backdrop featuring "Roll Models" logo.

I have been active in Martial arts for 30 years. I was first introduced to martial arts at the age of 6 in a Karate school run by the legend Clayton Murrain where I practiced sports Karate for several years. In my teens I then became a student of Libertino Parisi who at the time was an incredible coach in both boxing and Choi Kwang Do and prided himself in creating high level black belts.

I trained with Libertino for many years and achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt under Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi and recognised by the World Amature Kickboxing Association. During my late teens and early twenties I travelled all over the UK on different circuits competing and coaching. I have had the privilege to train under incredible boxing, Muay Thai and Judo coaches in my 30 years which has made me an all round better martial artist.

My biggest Martial arts achievements to date are working with the thousands of men, woman and children across the UK from all walks of life including fighters of all levels but especially the young children and teens that were dealing with difficult home situations. My work with coaching has been awarded many times across the years which I am emensely proud of.

I currently hold a 2nd degree black belt in Choi Kwang Do, 3rd degree black belt in Kickboxing and Blue belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. I actively train Boxing, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. I love all legit martial arts and travel all over as @taped_fingers
